How voting works

One verified vote per person

Choose a candidate, confirm your email address, and your vote is counted once you click the link we send you. No account or password needed.

Voting integrity

Every vote is checked with Cloudflare Turnstile and a one-use email confirmation. Suspicious activity is reviewed before results are certified. Read the full voting rules.

Results, certified

A result is only published once voting has closed, a minimum number of verified votes has been reached, and an administrator has reviewed and certified it.

How does voting work?

Pick your favourite business in each category you know, enter your email, and confirm your vote with the one-click link we send you. That's it - no account, no password.

Do I have to vote in every category?

No. Vote in as many, or as few, categories as you know - there's no requirement to vote in every one.

Why do I need to enter my email?

Purely to verify your vote and help prevent duplicate or fraudulent voting - not to enter a competition. Your address isn't kept alongside your vote once it's confirmed, unless you separately opt into our mailing list.

Can I come back and vote in another category?

Yes. If you skip a category the first time, you can return later and vote in it - your already-confirmed votes in other categories are never affected.

When do live standings appear?

Once a category reaches 1 confirmed vote. Before that, we only show how many votes have been cast so far, never a ranking.

Are the live standings final?

No. They're provisional while voting is open, and can change as more votes are confirmed, or if a vote is removed as invalid. Only a certified result, published after voting closes, is final.

When does voting close?

31 December 2026 at 23:59 (Europe/London). A ballot submitted just before that time keeps its normal 24-hour confirmation window.

How are the final results decided?

Once voting closes and the confirmation grace period passes, an administrator reviews each category for integrity and certifies the result - only confirmed, valid votes ever count.
